Meet Carmela
Three-year-old Carmela is the Celine Dion of cats. While you can’t deny Carmela or Dion the diva title--and can’t deny Carmela’s tortitude!--that exterior wraps around a sweet and loving heart. Like Celine, Carmela revels in the spotlight and wants all the attention and petting you’ll give her.
Meet Autumn
Autumn used to live by the idiom, “You can’t make an omelet without breaking eggs.” After all, she was a master baker. After winning the inaugural season of “The Great Feline Bake Off,” she got her own show on CatsCookTV. But after traveling across the U.S. for a couple years, looking for undiscovered bakeries and sweet shops, she’d had enough.
Meet Betty
Betty is fresh from a short-lived career as a professional talker. She got trained in patter, flow, and how to engage an audience, and then she headed out into the world. Unfortunately, her first job was her last…. She’d been introducing a new line of premium cat toys to an appreciative feline audience when a heckler rattled her, and she got so agitated that her hackles went up, she hissed, and got the zoomies right around the room.
Meet Shamrock
A psychic once told Shamrock that she’d lived dozens of past lives, and in this life, she was destined to take a break. Being Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, the Pharaoh-Queen Hatshepsut, and Princess Diana had been a lot of work, and that’s why she’s here in this life as a cat. To nap. A lot. As you might expect from former royalty (or any cat, really), Shamrock has needs and isn’t shy about letting you know what they are.
Meet Precioso
The idea of being royalty never sat as well with Precioso as it did with his sister. While Samantha reveled in being adored and catered to, Precioso was more uncomfortable with the attention. Even when they won the original season of “By A Whisker,” the reality-survival show that turned into a cultural juggernaut, and even when they were crowned King and Queen of the Cats (to Precioso’s everlasting embarrassment), he never liked the spotlight. He’s better at 1:1 interactions.
Meet Samantha
For a Queen, Samantha is a real sweetheart. Of course, Sam isn’t a real queen, she just played one on TV. We think. See, Sam and her brother Precioso were crowned the first Queen and King of the Cats as the original winners of FelineTV’s wildly popular reality-survival show “By A Whisker.” They amassed such a fan-following that after their own win, they took over as hosts for the next 18 seasons of the show. It was grueling, paws-on-the-treadmill work for the last 7 years, and Samantha is ready for a break.
Meet Tiramisu
Tiramisu spent the last 7 years as Madame Pawlina Meowtrovna, the foremost feline psychic to the stars. Because Tiramisu KNOWS things. Her rise to fame and fortune turned meteoric as the spiritual guide for the hugely popular kitty metal band, The Murder Mittens. From that moment on, she was constantly on the move and in demand.
Meet Abby
Abby always thought working in pawlitics would be an exciting career, but she’s rethinking her opinions now. She was part of a pawlitical advance team for a candidate for a major office, but when the candidate dropped out of the race suddenly, poor Abby found herself stuck in another city. Fortunately, this little love bug hasn’t let that situation get her down.
Meet Poe
Poe is looking for his second chapter in life. Like his more famous name-twin, Edgar Allan Poe, our boy made a career of writing mysteries and thrillers, all of which featured a hard-as-nails PC (private catective) who brought the bad guys to justice. But Poe tired of the solitary writing life—for ten years, month after month, he struggled alone at the typewriter, eating and drinking too much. After all that solitude, he wants human company!
Meet Pretty Kitty
Pretty Kitty is enjoying her retirement. After spending 11 years as a spy for the CCIA (Cat Central Intelligence Agency), she’s ready to come in from the cold and find a warm, loving home for her senior years. Some of her many aliases over the years have included Pretty Girl, Snuggle Queen, Princess Purry, and Queen of Cuddles, and she’ll respond to all of them.
Meet Tyler
Surf's up! “I wish they all could be California cats…” Well, this one is! Our Mr. Tyler is a classic California dude. He’s a handsome boy, and he’s completely chill and easy going. A little bit playful, a lot cuddly, and overall, friendly to anyone or anything he meets.
Meet Dolly Pawton
Miss Dolly Pawton is one of our new favorites at LYFF thanks to her sweet, gentle nature, her desire to be right next to you at all times, and her amazing talent for song. In fact, she’ll sing her greatest hits to you all day long, so prepare yourself for “Here You Come Again With Treats,” “Hard Kibble Christmas,” “(Feed Me More) 9 to 5,” and her biggest hit, “I Will Always Love Mew.”
Meet Virginia
Watch out, because Virginia is going to put those big, beautiful eyes of hers to work on you. You see, she’s a recent graduate of the National Academy for Cat Hypnotists, and she was a star student. She knows what she wants, she knows how to be persistent, and now she knows how to bend you to her will!
Meet River
River took his name from his favorite song by his favorite country artist, Garth Brooks. “You know a dream is just a river … and a dreamer’s just a vessel that must follow where it goes.” He held onto those words as he tried his luck on the streets of Nashville, strumming his guitar and singing and hoping to be discovered.
Meet Ritz
Ritz is ready for her second act in life. This fluffy, elegant girl spent 10 years as a Las Vegas Showcat, famous for her high kicks and spins in perfect synchronization with her teammates. But those days are behind her now, and she’s ready to spend her retirement years with a loving family.
Meet Alex
Alex spent 10 months chasing a dream of being the first professional batcat for Major League Baseball before realizing the bats were just too heavy for him. Still, he’ll always love the game (go, Padres!).
Meet Red
Ahoy, maties! Red wants any potential families to know that he wasn’t really a pirate, he just played one in the Catmusement Park’s popular ride, Cat Pirates of the World. Though he spent his days screaming about walking the plank and drinking grog (he never did figure out what that was), he’s more sweet-boy than bad-boy.
Meet Valentina
Due to her looks and her vocal skills, Valentina was groomed from an early age for a career in play-by-play commentating for the NKSL—the National Kitty Soccer League. But partway through her training, she walked out, because her heart just wasn’t in it.
Meet Tesha
Tesha comes to us ready for a change. For the past four years, she’d worked her way steadily up the ranks of professional hide-and-go-seekers—and even took the silver at the Catolympics one year. But while she loved the sport, she couldn’t stand the clawing and hissing it took to stay on top.
Meet Liam
Liam has had enough of the big world out there. He spent the first three years of his life seeking it out--you may know him as The Irish Adventure Cat, aka, the first cat to voyage in to the heart of the Amazon, the first cat to sail solo around the world, and the first cat to free-climb El Capitan. He’s done it all and then some. But he’s hanging up his carry-on bag and looking for a steady, loving family to settle down with.
